The tart associate Jeffrey Epstein Gislain Maxwell meets with the officials of the Ministry of Justice as the pressure is increasing on the Trump administration to release files related to the sex trading network that is disgraced financier.
The meeting will be held in Talahassy, Florida, where Maxwell is serving a 20-year term for having sex, BBC US Partner CBS News reports.
Deputy Prosecutor General Tod Blanche said he plans to talk to Maxwell about any information she had about other people whom Epstein may have helped girls sexually abuse.
Maxwell’s lawyer said the BBC that he was waiting for a “look forward to the meeting” that can help determine whether she would testify before Congress.
Recent events are coming because interest has moved back to 63-year-old Ghislaine Maxwell, convicted sex traffic in prison for helping Epstein’s abuse young girls.
Calls have grown from the public – including loyal supporters of President Donald Trump – and legislators at the Ministry of Justice to release files related to Epstein.
“If Ghislaine Maxwell has information about those who have committed crimes against the victims, the FBI and Doj will hear what she should say,” Blanch wrote in a message on X earlier this week.
On Wednesday, The Wall Street Journal reported that Prosecutor General Bondi told Trump during a master who appeared in the documents of Doj related to the Epstein case.
The White House pushed back, dismissing the story as “fake news”.
The documents mentioned in the documents are a testament to any criminal activity, and Trump is never accused of violating the Epstein case.
During the campaign for the presidency last year, Trump promised to release such files about a well -related sexual offender.
But his supporters have since broken up in view of the administration, including its refusal to provide rumors of the Epstein customer list. Earlier this month, the Ministry of Justice and the FBI stated that there was no such list.
Epstein died in a prison cell in New York in 2019, waiting for a trial on charges of trading sex, following the previous conviction for a minor. His death managed suicide.
During these years, conspiracy theories about the nature of his crimes and death itself spread.
On Wednesday, the Subcommittee of the House of Representatives voted in charge of court in the Department of Justice on materials to be signed by the chairman of the committee.
The Republicans of the House Supervision Committee also put them in court at Maxwell to show a remote from prison on August 11.
House Speaker Mike Johnson warned that Maxwell, who has helped Epstein’s groom and girls sexual abuse for many years – cannot be trusted to give accurate testimony.
Her lawyer David Oscar Marcus told the BBC that the problems were “unfounded”, and when she decided to testify rather than calling her constitutional right to remain silent: “She will testify to the truth because she always said it would be.”
Last week, the Ministry of Justice asked the federal judge to release long -term testimony of the great jury related to the investigation of Florida in Florida 2006, but the federal judge in the state on Wednesday refused to make the documents publicly available.
