The main stage of the Tomorrowland Fire Engulfs Festival

The fire destroyed the main stage at the Tomorrowland festival in Belgium, just two days before the event was opened.

“From a serious incident and fire on the main stage Tomorrowland, our favorite main scene was badly damaged,” the festival organizers said on Wednesday night.

The statement said that no one was injured during the flames.

The Electronic Dance Music festival should start on Friday, and 400,000 people are expected to attend two weekends.

Videos posted in social media show flames and gray smoke, covering the stage. Firefighters are at the scene in Boom south of Antwerp.

Some media reports suggest that the fire can be caused by pyrotechnic devices.

In the update on the festival website, the organizers stated that camping was still open on Thursday as planned and that they “focused on finding solutions for the festival.”
