Judge Teresa and Luis Ruelas in the middle of a legal headache as they face a $ 3 million tax debt.
In the midst of the legal plays, Margery Greenberg Esq, A partner spoke in the crowd of Nelson & Zauderer, which is not directly linked to the case, only Weekly US On Thursday, March 27, to explain the liens, what they deal with and the possible implications of their family.
“That is, it does not look like Teresa and Louis have charges against them, as criminal charges like Teresa last time, not yet,” said Greenberg Esq, referring to Teresa serving 11 months behind bars after her and then a husband Joe Judge Filed for bankruptcy after going to a debt of $ 11 million in 2009.
According to court docks obtained by Usthe Real housewives from New Jersey Star and Ruelas are due of $ 2.5 million and $ 303,000, respectively. A third debt has been closed since then. The pair has not addressed the financial position. Weekly US reach out for comments at the time.
Greenberg Esq explained the pair “as if it has a significant tax debt” that the “government is looking to go after to collect their money.” One of the ways they can do this is by attaching a lien with assets such as a $ 3.5 million Ruelas mansion, according to Greenberg ESQ.
The lawyer added that Giudice and her children could also have a detrimental effect because of her marriage to Ruelas – something that signing a wooden deal could have helped avoid. (Teresa shares four children: Families23, Cabri20, Milk19, and Audriana, 15, with her ex-husband Joe.)
“At the level of getting your current income and current assets is seized and how that affects the children. If the youngest still lives at home, the risk of getting that home into closure or being abducted by the Government, you know, is currently affecting the day -to -day lifestyle that that child has done.
He continued: “But also looking at a bigger or, different picture. What if something happened to you? These debts could also go after an estate, and so you don’t protect your children on a longer season or at a deeper level, if they had a woodup, whether it’s a social taboo or a cultural taboo, or just a obvious taboo, or just a obvious taboo, or just a obvious taboo.”
Greenberg ESQ added: “The reality is, is that it is a kind of intimacy that people actually need to be having more conversations about that are often avoided.”
Greenberg Esq said she was surprised that no wood had been signed by Giudice before her marriage to Ruelas.
“To be plain, given Teresa’s history, it is a bit shocking that he ventured to a wooden agreement because a wooden agreement would actually have been assisted here,” said Greenberg ESQ, adding: “It is a concern that he did not take that option.”
Greenberg claimed that the couple could lose the mansion because he had a tax copyright, depending when he was bought by Ruelas.
“Well, I’m not too sure when he bought the mansion … but if he bought the mansion after they both got married, whether he put it in the LLC or not, the LLC is then a wedding asset,” he said.
He continued: “It’s about the timing of the purchase. That’s the relevant issue here. So if he bought the mansion after the wedding, LLC or not, and now it’s a tax lien.”
It is not just assets that Giudice and Ruelas are in danger of losing, according to Greenberg ESQ. All income made and saved by Giudice and Ruelas could be at risk. However, Greenberg said that Ruelas could fail to pay taxes before their marriage that it could affect how many Giudice is accountable.
