The last of us Season 2 première has Us Wondering why Ellie (Bella Ramsey) so mad at Joel (Pedro Pascal) – and what is going to happen when Abby (Kaitlyn Dever))) comes to town.
The highly expected HBO series was performed for the first time on Sunday, April 13, with an emotional thrill chapter that raised some big questions from viewers.
Spoilers for US Season 2 Première below.
The episode began with a short -fired back until the end of term 1. Once again, viewers came to see the moment Joel swore to Ellie who was not lying about the fire insects and the cordyceps healing. (Friendly reminder: it was, in fact, lying.)
Manny (Danny Ramirez) speak the first words of season two asking: “Why would he do this?” It is quickly revealed that he asks for Joel as Nora (Tati Gabrielle) responds to his question.
The last of us follows a group of survivors after a pandemic dries most humanity, but it’s not a virus that causes the disaster – it’s a fungus. She begins to say, “I heard rumors of some child who took it was supposed to be—” Tan Mel (Ariela bars) cut it off saying that the rumors were not true. The talk is held in a firefighting cemetery, which appears to include all the bodies that Joel put down during the hospital massacre in the term end of season 1.
Abby tells the group that their next mission is to “find” Joel. “None of this is fair f *** ing,” he said. Owen (Spencer Lord) convinces Abby to travel to Seattle to find someone called Isaac (Jeffrey Wright) so that they can assist with the hunt for Joel.
“When we kill him, we kill him slowly,” said Abby.
After the sequence of title rolls, The last of us Season 2 makes a five -year jump.
Ellie, who is now 19, perfects his fighting-literally-fighting skills with a small fighting club in Jackson, Wyoming, who is run by Jesse’s new friend (Young tooth). Meanwhile, Joel runs the Jackson construction crew, which includes Ellie Dina’s best friend (Isabela Merced). Under pretending to ask Joel for help, Dina reveals a tension between him and Ellie.
“May I ask a question?” Dina says. “Why is she angry on you?”
Joel answers, “She said she was angry?”
Joel, shaking him away, shakes Ellie’s mood up to a “normal” teenager behavior – mentioning his late daughter, Sarah, introducing a new and better Joel Miller. Dina also drops the news that Joel is in therapy.
Ellie, more or less, is shooting any chance she gets despite Joel’s protests to take her off patrols. Tommy (Gabriel Luna) He has no choice but alongside Ellie, although this is not what his older brother wants.
Joel’s relationship with her sister-in-law Maria seemsRutina Wesley) bloomed as the two work together on an expansion plan for Jackson. The softer side – some may even say Daddy’s side – from Joel coming out actually when with the Benjamin nephew too.
Viewers also have an internal look at his above therapy sessions with Gail (Catherine O’Hara), who is drunk and knows that Joel had “shot and killed” her husband. (He pays for sessions in marijuana.)
HBO has officially renewed the last of us for yet another season before the show’s highly expected season 2 premiere. The nature of their sessions surrounds Joel’s issues with Ellie, but Gail is more or less states that they are nowhere as it “lies” to it.
“Say what you are afraid to say,” she motivates it. “Did you do something for her?”
Joel answers, “I saved her.”
Elsewhere in Jackson, Ellie and Dina go out on patrol and (shock) do not do what they are told. Because of this, Ellie comes face to face with an evolutionary breed of infected-the stalker. She goes a little again, and for those who count, that would be three bite to Ellie, our immune queen.
After a damn-closed excitement again-Dina invites Ellie to the Jackson New Year’s Eve celebration. While at the party, Dina and Ellie share a kiss and are called slurry promptly by another Jackson residents. When Joel steps into Ellie’s defense, how deeply their issues are actually revealed.
“What’s wrong with you?” She asks. “I don’t need your help f *** ing.”
The episode ends with two big Tips to what to come. The first, a live cordyceps tendril is thriving in the Jackson pipeline system. The second, Abby and Hi The crew appears on the road.
