The ex -Aakash Chopra bacon has made a great claim about KL Rahul’s possibilities to return to the T20i India configuration for the Asia Cup 2025.
The battle all over the Indian T20i side is underway before the Indian selectors announce the squad from the next Asia Cup. However, it seems imminent that Shubman Gill will come back, while Suryakumar Yadav will continue to be the pattern on the side.
Some players have been confirmed without announcing a squad, as they have been dominant in India in recent times, while some players still expect a chance on the big stage. But the most interesting set of players is a group that wants to return to the side after being fallen due to the unconvincing way.

As the selection race intensifies ahead of the next Asia Cup 2025, the former Indian Cricter Aakash Chopra has analyzed and excluded the veteran mixer Kl Rahul from the long list of opening of bathedors and wick goalkeepers who could star in India in the Asia Cup.
He does not speak of the possibility of returning to Kl Rahul on the Indian side T20i, considering his reputation of slowly beating.
“If you see his IPL numbers, they are excellent. In the recent past, no player has been a 600 -run bank like him. However, a reputation has been developed sometimes slowly,” Chopra said on his YouTube channel.
He also said that it is sometimes known that Kl Rahul has entered into phases where his battle scores are subject to a huge shake, which does not turn it into a reliable option.
“If something stops it, it is their own mentality. Sometimes the legs are grunned and when the mentality is right, it flies with wings.”
“I feel like the game. I remember a shot, it was the field of Indore, and Jasprit Bumrah hit a six cover, and I was like Wow. However, you will also get bumps when you feel that he should hit, but he thinks differently,” he observed.
As Chopra mentions, KL Rahul’s return as a workshop seems almost impossible, such as Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma, excellent at the top. Their dominance has been such that even like Shubman Gill and Yasasvi Jaiswal have been out of the race during the first two places.
Although Kl Rahul also had a stellar season with Delhi’s capitals, where he played in various roles throughout the battle order, scoring a total of 539 runs in the IPL, including a century and three half a century.
“He can’t play as a workshop because the opening story has ended, unfortunately, for the time being. Sanju Samson is there with Abhishek Sharma, Yasasvi Jaiswal is behind, and I’m also named Shubman Gill in fourth place. Four people are on the line,” Copra added.
After discarding Rahul’s possibilities as a workshop, Aakash Chopra has become a wick, another role where Rahul can play. It counts as the first wicker team of India in one day international.
However, now with the new additions of the list with Ishan Kishan, Jitesh Sharma and Dhruv Jewel, who have made efforts to enter the Indian side in the absence of Ris Habh Pant. In the presence of Pant, India already has Sanju Samson and Pant like the two manters next to it.
“ Ishan Kishan says he is there too. Everyone wants to open -so there is no place for an opener. You will have to play in the middle order and, there, Jitesh Sharma is one that has done very well, he has played an excellent IPL and made his team win. Sanju Samson opens at the moment. So a goalkeeper is not required.
