Karun Nair suffered an injury during the long -awaited series of five -game tests against England, led by Ben Stokes. The injury took place only two days before the start of the first test, which will begin in Headingley in Leeds on Friday, June 20.

Karun Nair’s decision to move from Karnataka to Vidarbha before the Domestic 2023-24 season was a key turning point in his career. Nair scored 690 runs in 10 first class games, including two centuries and three half a century.
He had an even more impressive season 2024-25, scoring 863 in nine games and played a crucial role in the Ranji Trophy of Vidarbha Trophy. These consistent actions earned him a place in both India and the senior squad for the 2025 tour in England.
With the retirement of Kohli from the test cricket, the former Captain of India, Anil Kumble, has suggested Nair as a strong contestant for the vacant site number 4.
