Anthony Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, says he is not sure if he will take the fight with Jake Paul in February or March 2026. He is concerned about Paul (12-1, 7 kos) that he “beat” by Gervonta Davis in his November 14 struggle at Netflix. A loss for Jake would change Joshua’s plans.
Hearn claims that he knew Paul would fight in November, but he didn’t think he would be a light tank Davis. That changes things.
Hearn says they are not only sitting and waiting until November 14 to see the result of Paul-Davis’s struggle before planning Joshua’s combat in early 2026. Joshua will continue and will program to fight someone for the beginning of next year. It is a lost opportunity for Paul and Joshua.
“We knew that Jake fought on this side of the year. I think I was the first one who said three or four months ago that the struggle was agreed between Gervonta Davis and Jake Paul. I didn’t expect it to be announced today.” Fighthype.
If Hearn knew before Jake Paul fought against the Davis tank in November, he should not disturb and speak -changing his plans in early 2026.
“You have to understand the business,” Hearn said about Paul vs Davis’s struggle. “I hate these exhibitions. I hate these 14 -oz gloves. I don’t know what it will be. You have Jake, a 210, £ 220 to 135” fighter.
Paul’s struggle against the Davis tank is logical because it has two massive fighters. Jake has tried to call other fighters like Canelo Alvarez, but he has been lucky. Paul and his team made a good move by Gervonta.
“It’s a bit strange, but I can’t be a hypocrite and say if you are Gervonta Davis, who is offered 20, 30, 40 million or whatever the number, and you’ll get seven or eight to fight Lamont Roach in 50-50, what will you do? Maybe the child is half-checked from the game anyway,” said Hearn about the Davis tank. “”
