British-Israeli hostage, released by Hamas after 15 months in captivity, said her scars are “freedom, hope and power” when she had suffered a number of operations for injuries.
28 -year -old Emily Damara was shot dead when she was dragged from her home in Southern Israel during Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, causing her to lose two fingers.
She said that the gas operation left her in “intense pain” for a year and a half, and that the scar from “open, purulent wound” was not healed by months from the conditions in which it passed.
On the eve of treatment, Ms Damara said that she “completely accepted” pain and injuries because they symbolize her.

“It’s nothing that is not a miracle that she has not concluded an infection that is dangerous to life,” said Mandy Damari.
Ms Damara said that “so excited” to visit the UK with her mother as soon as she healed and the rest of the hostages would be released.
“I have so many people that I want to thank you personally for helping me bring my life back.”
The couples were invited to Downing -Rate Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, who had previously talked to Mrs. Damara by phone.
During this conversation, she said that during her captivity she was kept in the United Nations facilities. The UN Gaza agency called for an independent prosecution.
