Manny Pacquiao has entered the number 9 in the current heavyweight updated ranking of the current Ring. The list is Two notable names are missingDevin Haney and Karen Chukhadzhian, both fight at a much higher level than Pacquiao, 46.
Other missing names from the updated ring rankings: Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero and Jack Catterall. These fighters deserve to be on the list.
The updated ring rankings still have Jaron ‘boots’ ennis as a champion despite moving to 154 and already qualified in the division. It doesn’t make sense because if there was time to include Pacquiao on the list, Ennis could have been eliminated.
Champion: Jaron Ennis
Pacquiao did not look good enough in his 12-round tie against WBC 147 pounds champion Mario Barrios to include it on the list of the top ten. He was old, passing it and he was only able to fight hard in the first nine rounds against the weakest bond between Welterweight’s champions. Manny’s inability to dominate Barrios was enough reason to not include it.
Barrios should not be on the list of the first ten of the ring, because he seemed poor in his last two fights, fighting a tie against the traveler Abel Ramos and did not overcome his main pacquiao.
Other names that do not belong to the list of the first 10: Giovanni Santillan and Alexis Rocha. These two fighters are not worthy of being even in the top 15.
The true heavy weight
Roman Polanco struggles well enough to deserve the number 9 that the ring has used for Pacquiao. Polanco would be too young for Manny and probably called him if they were fighting.
