The head of Sunderland, Le Bris signs the contract by 2028

Sunderland manager, Regis Le Bris, has signed a new contract until the summer of 2028.

The young man, 49, was named Black Cats in June 2024 after his departure from Lorient.

Le Bris brought Sunderland to promote in his first campaign at the helm, a 2-1 victory over Sheffield United in the championship final in May, marking the club’s return to the Premier League after an eight-year absence.

“The connection I have with the staff, the players and the supporters has been natural, and we shared many great moments together,” said Le Bris, who opened his 2025-26 campaign on West Ham on August 16.

“Collective ambition is there to see and now there is a desire to make it stronger. I can feel the energy and intention to move forward, and we need that in the next challenges we will face.

“In all parts of the organization, everyone has their part to play and we are all aligned.”

Sunderland has signed 10 players while preparing for the Premier League, including the Club record signed by Habib Diarra and previous Captain of Arsenal Granite Xhaka.
