The grade is huge says Glasner

Oliver Glasner says that Crystal Palace has set his goals for the season with the “great achievement” of the classification for the conference league.

Jean-Philippe Mateta’s first goal was enough to see the Norwegian side Fredristad and secure European football until the New Year of the Eagles.

Glasner’s side was not at its best But he expanded an unbeaten career to all competitions at 13, equalizing the longest in its history as the top of the flight.

“It is a great achievement to enter the group stage,” Glasner told Channel 5. “It was our second goal of the season and we did it in late August, which is fantastic.

“The first was to win the community shield, which we did – and now, with all the noise of being demolished in the conference league, we have done so.

“We defended ourselves excellently and did not give them a chance, but on the other side, we know that we can and have to play better in possession, but in general it is important to be in the group stage.”

In the face of Friday’s draw, Glasner added: “I have a press conference in the morning and we train in the afternoon because we arrive home late.

“We will see that Aston Villa was ready (for the Sunday Premier League match), so I think someone will tell me who the opposition teams are, but it is not important for me because we start (the league league) on October 2 and now Villa is in my head.”
