South Africa has criticized the US amid messages that can get white Africans as refugees next week.
The document considered by the US partner of the BBC, CBS, describes the potential resettlement as “priority” for the government of President Donald Trump, but the terms were not publicly confirmed by the White House.
In a statement published on FridayThe Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Africa described the move as a “politically motivated” and aims to undermine “constitutional democracy” of South Africa.
In February, President Trump described Africans as victims of “racial discrimination” in the executive order, opening the prospect for their relocation to the United States.
South Africa’s authorities said they would not block the trips to those who were elected for resettlement, but the government sought assurances from the American counterpart that the selected were fully inspected and had no expectation of a criminal case.
South Africa once again confirmed that allegations of discrimination against the white minority of the country, adding that the crime statistics did not indicate that any racial group was aimed at violent crimes on farms.
Some groups representing white farmers have stated that they were intentionally killed by their race.
The US State Department’s press -secretary told the BBC that they were interviewed by people interested in relocating to the United States and prioritizing the African -Africa in South Africa who were victims of unjust racial discrimination, but did not confirm when the resettlement began.
The Trump administration also accused South Africa of seizing land from white farmers without compensation that Pretoria has repeatedly denied.
