The court in Leipzig rejected the ban imposed by the German government on an influential right magazine.
The resolution of some is regarded as a blow to Germany against the right -wing extremism, although for others it may be proof of high standards of freedom of speech of the country.
In July 2024, the German Ministry of Internal Affairs banned the magazine, claiming that it had undermined the German Constitution, which attacked the minority.
“This is the central munders of the right extremist scene,” said Interior Minister Nancy Ferr at the time. “This magazine fueled unspeakable hatred of Jews, people with migration and against our parliamentary democracy.”
The magazine is connected with the extreme right alternative for the German Party (AFD) and was previously classified by German internal intelligence as the right extremist.
In the decision on Tuesday, the judge accepted that the magazine published anti-constitutional content, but decided that it did not justify the ban.
Many statements in compactness can be considered as “exaggerated but permissible criticism,” Judge Inga Kraft said in court. “The Constitution guarantees the freedom of expression and freedom of the press, even to the enemies of the Constitution.”
Following the announcement, Compact editor -in -chief Jurgen Elseser, who called his magazine “Assault on Democracy,” said the AFD party would also help. If his magazine cannot be banned, then AFD could not, he said.
In Germany, a fierce discussion is held on whether to try to ban AFD, which was also classified as the right extremist German intelligence. Even many CHD critics say the ban can be counterproductive by playing the party’s victims.
Over the past year, German officials banned or tried to ban a number of anti-constitutional organizations, some related to extreme right extremist groups. AFR and extreme rights activists say their oppressed state.
Some supporters of Donald Trump have also accused Germany of suppressing free speech. At the Munich Security Conference in February Vice -President JD Vance stunned European officials with a brilliant attack on Germanyblaming major politicians in the closure of AUD from politics and anti -democratic free speech.
In fact, AFD politicians are the main product of German television conversations and has the same discussion rights to major parties in the German parliament.

Cases are often taken to court, and, as in this ruling, abolished by the judges. The decision to resolve the right -wing Compact magazine cannot be appealed to the government.
