The 36-year-old Dayu Dara Permata is the co-founder and CEO of the Indonesian Pinhome Property Platform.

It’s no secret that creating a successful startup often involves risk, iteration and failure. Dayu Dara Permata knows it well.
36-year-old guy is co-founder and CEO of Indonesian Platform Property Pine. For about five years she has moved from booting business from her own garage to the council over $ 75 million to date, the company spokesman and data from the data Book.

She said that as a child she was carefully, competitive and “always focused on scientists. By 23 years, she had already acquired investment real estate, the first of several.
After graduating from the university, she continued to pursue a corporate career for almost a decade, as a result of the Senior Vice President on the Southeast Asia Service Gojek, where she got acquainted with Pinhome Ahmed Aljunied.
Working in Goyk for about four years, Permat said she was ready to go on her own entrepreneurial journey.
“I think at the end of my time in Gojek (company) acted in 200 cities across Indonesia,” she said. “I worked with my technical director Ahmed … (he) was always very entrepreneurial. He used to build companies, and he (said):” Why don’t we start on our own? “
So, in early 2019, they started to ideas and build a business from the Permata Home Garage. For about nine months, PERMATA said she had invested about $ 150,000 in his own savings.
“My husband was my first employee. We had the first five team members who worked from our (garage). It was exactly nine months of download,” she said. “I also worked full -time at Gojek, and it was still quite long hours (I worked there), but we managed to squeeze the time (for our launch.)”
Information with its own experience as an investor of real estate, Permat knew that she wanted to turn to many pain points in Indonesian real estate. She said the process of buying and maintaining the property was very “manual” and “fragmented”.
“All the pain of finding a home and a connection with agents … (this) six -day process, all on WhatsApp, and you are dealing with full strangers … And I thought,” Why is it so traditionally and why did the technology not transform the sector? “
Permat and its co -founder believed that the real estate sector in Indonesia ripe for transformation.

“We protested various business models … In the first business model we studied real estate crowdfunding. The second model of business, we studied real estate management. Then for the third time we studied … joint property,” she said.
“We have survived this iteration almost every two of the month,” she said.
After checking multiple unsuccessful ideas, Permata and Aljunied landed on their fourth idea, which ultimately became the fact that there is a Pinhome Platform for Real Estate, which offers brokerage, mortgage and home services.
According to a company spokesman, Pinhome was launched in January 2020 and serves more than 3.5 million active users on their site and mobile apps.
“Do not do quickly, learn quickly. That’s how you get closer to success,” Permat suggested. “Try to fail every day, but study on this … I think it will help you in your endurance ultimately because it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon.”
