Former Gabon President Ali Bong, who was dropped in the 2023 coup has left the country and is now in Angola, the authorities have announced there.
Angolan’s presidency added In a statement posted on social media Bong’s family was released from detention and was with him in Luanda.
The wife and son of Bong, Sylvia and Nuredin, confronted with accusations of corruption and went to jail in 2023.
