The finale of Skeleton Crew almost had a Jedi flashback

The recent ending for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew finally shed some light on Jude Law’s mysterious Force user, Jod Nawood. Growing up as a poor child, he was taken in by a Jedi and trained in the ways of the Force. She’s been on the run since she saw him die, and it turns out we met her during the sequel.

Hon Instagramthe actor Yasmine Al Massri (who you heard as Morana Castlevania) posted pictures of himself as Jod’s master, dressed as a Jedi and doing a brief lightsaber training that would presumably be the fight before his death. According to her, it was the “shortest active work I’ve done”, but impactful nonetheless: after her single scene wrapped up the production, she recalled telling the The skeleton crew team that “created the first female Arab Jedi.” Unfortunately for Massri, the scene was not part of the The skeleton crew final, but she takes it in stride. “These things pass,” he continued. “It was the most significant (work) for the child in me. (…) I can not share my experience and my feelings.”

Now that Jod is officially confirmed to have been a Jedi-in-training and had a master at one point in his life, he raises some questions. Who among them survived Order 66, or could they have escaped the Jedi Purge? Also, who is it she – neither The skeleton crew final where Massri’s post names the character, and it looks like she has one. If the show comes on another seasonMaybe we’ll learn more about her and Jod’s relationship, and how she grew from Jedi survivor to hacker with many false identities.
