The collapse of glaciers swallow the part of the Swiss village

The Swiss mountain village was buried in the flow of ice, dirt and rocks, after a large piece of birch glacier collapsed into the valley below.

The village of Blotten, which was evacuated approximately 300 inhabitants a few days ago, was overflowing with thousands of tons of dirt and ice on Wednesday.

Global warming makes the glaciers melt more quickly. Meanwhile, permafrost – often described as a glue that holds high mountains together – also thaws.

One person was reportedly missing, and many homes were flattened.
