A man who was caught on the camera snatched a hat from a young boy at the US Open, said he made a “huge mistake” after the incident staff became viral.
Peter Shcherek, the Polish executive director of the sidewalk, said he was “convinced” Tennis Star Camil Majrzak, “handed a hat in my direction.”
“I know what I did what seemed deliberately collecting memory from the child,” he wrote in a statement. “It was not my intention, but it did not change what I hurt the boy and disappointed the fans.”
The video made during the Majchrzak match on Thursday shows that the tennis player offers the baby before Mr. Szczerek seems to take it.
The video versions were widely shared in the social media and caused the fierce criticism of Mr. Shcherek.
On Monday, the CEO wrote on social media: “I would definitely apologize to the affected boy, his family, and all the fans and the player himself.”
He added that he gave his hat to the boy and hoped that he “at least partially repaired the damage that had been done.”
Majkhrzak, who just won his match against Russian ninth seed Karen Khanov when the incident broke out, told the New York Post on Saturday that “it was obviously some confusion.”
“I showed giving a hat, but after my match I had a lot after it was very tired and very excited for the victory,” he said.
“I just missed it. I looked like a dead look when you know what I mean. I’m sure the guy also acted at the time of heat, at the time of emotions.”
The tennis star reunited with the boy over the weekend, sharing the clips, giving the young fan and other goods on Instagram.
“Today, after the warming, I had a good meeting,” – writes Tennis Pro, adding, “Do you know (cap)?”
Majkhrzak, who finished 76th in the world in the men’s singles, returned from two sets to defeat Khachan in the second round match in the flashing-medical, but was forced to retire the wounded during the first set of his third toilet against Leandra Swiss.
He later confirmed that he had broken the intercostal mouse.
