He and Jessica – who married in 2007 – share an older son, Hunter.
The Yankees Foundation also released their own statement on March 23 after Miller’s death was revealed.
“Words feel trivial and inadequate in trying to describe such an unimaginable loss,” said the team’s statement. “It was not just Brett who literally grew up in this institution for more than 17 years – so did his wife, Jessica, and their two boys, Hunter and Miller.
The Yankees statement continued, “Our love of the Gardner family is unconditional and absolute, and we will offer our continued support in understanding their desire for privacy at this time. Miller is resting in peace.”
Yankees manager Aaron Boonewho controlled Brett during the last four years of his MLB career, tackled Miller’s death in comments to correspondents On March 23.
