The Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford Clash delivers expectations?

Terence Crawford admits that it has a “hard challenge” up to 168 to challenge Canelo Alvarez for its supermobiliary championship of an indisputable half weight on September 13. Bud Crawford (41-0, 31 kos) has been inactive for most of the last four years, it did not look good in its last fight against Israil Madrimov, and is on the wrong side of 30, near 40.

The risk of weight class jumps

Turki Alshikh believed Crawford enough to make the struggle with Canelo (63-2-2, 39 kos), but there is a good chance that this struggle cannot deliver the fireworks he expected. Crawford has chosen not to tune to the weight class and will advance two divisions after a 13-month dismissal to face Alvarez.

There would be a lot of disappointment if the struggle is boring with Crawford running around the ring or if it is a complete mismatch like Alvarez’s struggle against Jermell Charlo. That is why it is a bad idea to throw a lot of money to a smaller fighter to climb two or three classes of weight. There is a risk that it is not an entertaining struggle, especially when the smallest fighter refuses to gain experience in this class of weight.

Coach Abel Sanchez and the former World Champion of Four Divisions, Mikey Garcia, are skeptical of Crawford’s victory. Both pointed out the evil he looked at in his last fight against Israil Madrimov on August 3, winning a close unanimous decision of 12 rounds for the scores 116-112, 115-113 and 115-113.

The most accurate of these scores were 115-113, although they did not tell the whole story. He could have been a draw or a victory for Madrimov if he had not been facing a much more popular fighter than himself. Crawford now jumps 14 pounds from 154 to 168, and again, without tuning the weight class. Only he knows why he chose not to fight someone in 168 for some experience.

Crawford on Canelo’s face

“It will be a tough challenge on both sides. You will have some challenges. I will have some challenges. This is what are great fights. Whoever exceeds these challenges and who takes advantage of the errors of the other fighter,” said Terence Crawford a Fighthype On his challenge for the title of September 13 against Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas.

“I will be ready and I will be ready. I’m excited and hope,” Crawford said.
