Rajasthan Royals (RR) bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule provided praise to the provisional pattern Riyan Parag, despite his loss by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a recent IPL 2025 game. Rajasthan Royals suffered a defeat of eight tickets against Kolkata Knight riders at Guwahati’s BarsaPara Stadium on Wednesday, March 26. Riyan Parag scored 25 runs of 15 balls on the land. He left without bites with the ball, but managed to control the pace of execution, ending with figures of 0/25.
Speaking at the post-party press conference, Sairaj Bahutule, who represented India in two tests and eight hate, said that Riyan Parag does not gain the recognition he deserves even though he has worked well. Rajasthan Royals Bowling Coach added that Parag’s consistency has been prominent.
“Speaking of Riyan, I think he has improved with all the opportunities he has had. When you play Assam, sometimes your performances go unnoticed, even when you are doing well. However, for the last 2-3 years, its domestic coherence has been remarkable,” Bahutule said at the press conference after the game.
Bahutule said that impressive Parag performances earned a place on the Indian team. Sairaj expressed his confidence that Parag will become a reliable all. Bahutule stated that Parag will evolve towards a player of all format in the near future.
“Last year, he acted brilliantly and won a place on the Indian team. I am sure that, over time, it will become a strong rounder. The way he launched today, combined with his improvement in battles, he shows his growth. Personally, I think he will be a player of all formed in a nearby future,” added Bahutule.
Parag enjoyed an IPL 2024 stellar campaign. He was the top scorer of Rajasthan Royals, ending as the third highest in the tournament. Accumulated 573 runs in 13 inputs, maintaining an impressive average of 52.09. However, he has struggled to replicate this form in the first two games of IPL 2025.
The cricket, born in the Assam, has scored only 29 runs to a modest average of 14.50. Parag will seek to increase and offer stronger performances in the coming games.
Rajasthan Royals first beat after losing launch and published a total of 151/9 below the bottom. Rajasthan Batters DHRUV Jury (33), Yasse. Varun Chakaravarthy and Moeen Ali of Kolkata Knight Riders took two doctors as they ticketed spells.
