Space heating price
Most electric space heaters that operate only in that function, (and not as dual air purifierfor example,) are priced under $150, with many models on this list costing less than $100. Several smaller and well-regarded budget models can also run less than $50. The size of the unit, the additional functions , the number of settings and the heating element contribute to the overall cost of a space heater.
Space heater size
There are no standard sizes or shapes for electric space heaters, and most space heaters I’ve researched don’t specify the square footage for coverage, except to mention their ability to heat a “small” space to medium” or to specify room types such as. such as a room or office. Space heaters can be listed as table, floor or bathroom models and many are also tall but narrow “tower” models, which may or may not oscillate, which have a smaller footprint and therefore a space requirement smaller horizontal.
Types of space heaters
While this list consists only of electric space heaters, (as opposed to water or oil models), there are several different mechanisms that electric space heaters can use to create warm air.
Fan-forced: Fan-forced space heaters circulate air by drawing it into the unit and passing it over a heating element, typically metal coils, expelling the heated air through the exhaust fans in the unit.
infrared: : Infrared bulbs are those that convert electricity into radiant heat. This is the least common type among the space heaters we include here, but no less effective.
Ceramics: Ceramic space heaters use electricity to heat a ceramic plate in the unit, which then emits radiant heat into the air, with or without the additional use of a fan.
