Whether George Lucas’s X-style wings are buzzing around like the craft of World War II fighter, or the more prudent method of shows like Battlestar GalacticaSci-fi space battles more towards fantasy than reality.

The exception is The breadthA hard sci-fi series in 2015 based on a strict commitment to realism.

Ship The breadth Action based on the technology that may actually be possible in the near future of humanity.

That means no magical energy shields, hyperspace drives, than advanced flavorers.

Ships in The breadth Fight in the vacuum of space using bullet -based weapons such as missiles and rail guns.

The breadthPlating craft has no wonderful gravity or science dissolves technobabble. They deal with real Newtonian physics and the way in which G-force affects moving objects along with the fragile human bodies inside them.

The show’s approach creates complex space commitments that include attacking attacks on Salvos and countermeasures, in opposition to jockey forcing for a site in the darkness of space, fighting the limits of physics to secure victory.

And the result of this method is a series of space battles unlike anything else, you’ve ever seen on the screen.

So make sure your sofa is sucked and get ready to remove some serious GS.

Season 1 Chapter 4, “CQB”

It was a chapter four of The breadthAn initial season gave us our first taste of the potential of the show.

The great battle of the chapter takes place from the point of view of the Donnager, the greatest battle, a baddest can produce it.

Donnager class is crewed by hundreds and covered with weapons.

It’s so big it carries other smaller corvette class warships inside it.

That’s how Captain James Holden and his friends finish aboard the Rocinante. Originally, the iconic ship was now a Corvette covered inside the Donnager, and named the Dachach.

He believed that the Donnager excellence was quickly shown lacking in as the ship faced an unexpected attack of six stealthy ships.

Initially mistaken for one ship, the attackers divided multiple craft, launching a coordinated torpedo barrage.

Despite the tremendous weapons of the Donnager, including a number of rail protection cannons and rail guns, the advanced technology of the stealth vessels allows them to avoid countermeasures and provide critical damage, disabling the Donnager reactor and compromise on its structural integrity.

Holden and his crew flee from the ship in Corvette Martian they find in Donnager’s Bay launch, narrowly escaping the Donnager.

Season 5 Chapter 10, “Nemesis Games”

In the season 5 episode of “Nemesis Games”, the Rocinante crew face a fleet of 5 ships and wins.

The Rocinante, which is still recovering from previous commitments and is low on bullets, is persecuted by a free naval squadron consisting of five ship-two ships built by Martian and three Belter.

Before Captain Holden Rocinante can implement a plan, all hells break free in the free navy fleet.

Former Holden Ally Kamina emperor has been pressed into a service against her wishes, on the free navy ship saved. She mutinies and takes control.

A drummer fires Salvo a missile in the Koto destroyer, drawing his attention long enough for the Rocinante to enter an effective range for the ship’s rail gun. The koto is disabled by the superior weapon of the rocky.

The drummer ordered their loyalty ships to stand down. One, the Mowteng, leaves the battle.

The heavy fry Serri Mal is left battling the rockinante on its own, but the smaller missile salvos of the rocky cannot break through the defenses of the more powerful ship.

The other drummer-led ship is an armed rescue ship called Dewalt, and joins the battle on the Rocinante side by firing all its missiles at once in a huge Salvo directed to the ultra-marquee Mal Serrio.

This draws the attention of the enemy, long enough for the rockinante to close the distance and destroy its reactor with railway gun explosions

Every detail of this battle is considered perfect, down to the small engine the ship uses to counteract the power of its rail gun fired.

No show, but the breadth would never go to so much trouble to get everything right.

Season 2 Chapter 2, “Doors and Corners”

Our heroes identify Thoth station as the Protogen Clandestine facility responsible for the horrific protoMolecule experiments, the same horrors that started the show’s plot.

In order to be detected, the Rocinante hides himself behind the Opa Molinari fighter guy, exploiting his radar signature. As they approach the station, the Rocinante reveals, quietly drifting in to maintain the element of surprise.

Thoth station defense includes the Osiris, Amun-Ra-class stealthy fries, and anti-disturbance cannon. When detecting the approaching ships, the Osiris launches torpidos in the Molinari guy.

The Rocinante is inter -gipping, using its PDCS to neutralize the threat. Fierce dog fighting follows, when the Rocinante maintains damage to a sheet on the port side, forcing it to try to cover behind the station ring.

At the same time, two cutting codes carrying OPA and Detective Miller marines are being launched towards Thoth Station.

Amos Burton, aboard the Rocinante, repairs the damaged buzz, enabling the ship to move and destroy the station cannon, clearing a path to the remaining docking pod, allowing Miller and his teams to achieve their objective.

Season 6 Chapter 3 “Immolation”

Best battle The breadth is one of his smallest, and also his shortest.

But the details in question and the tactical skill on display are some of the best ever held on the screen.

Marco Inaros, leading a free naval flotilla chance across the rockinante and pursuing.

Inaros commands the distant, a light cruise that outweighs the smaller rocky. He also has two other ships.

The rocky can only be corvette to be corvette, but it’s not a normal corvette. She mounts a railway gun, a weapon is usually considered too large for a ship of its size to carry.

Inaros attacks the rockinante with missiles, and the rocky forces them away with a fire from its PDCS.

The railway gun faces on and only fuels it on, but the rocky is run off, which puts marcos and its fleet behind them

Captain and Pilot Rocinante James Holden, whirling his ship around in 180 wild, snap firing one rail gun from outside the usual effective range of the weapon. He then operates another 180 immediately to put the rock back on track.

As the railway gun is fired from outside its effective range, referred to in the breadth as “Hammerlock”, inaros ships should have enough time to avoid the railway gun slugs, but they are surprised.

The railway gun round connects and addresses one of the free Navy ships. Another is waiting after helping, leaving only the pella in pursuit.

Both ships exchange torpedoes, but neither can go through the other’s PDC fire.

PDC stands for a point defense canon, which is exactly what they are.

They are never used as offensive weapons, which are considered too slow to use offensive in the vast distances of the space.

That’s when the Rocinante gunner Bobby Draper noticed a deficiency in the remote bilot.

By avoiding their missile attacks, the farthest is always avoiding port.

That means they can predict where they will be far off.

Bobbie outweighs the automated regulators on the rocky PDCS to fuel them in an empty space, aiming at where he predicts the farther.

She fires Salvo from missiles, and the pella avoids port, right into the Rocinante PDC rounds.

The rocky PDC fire tears through the far, disabling the ship.
