The barrier built around the besieged Sudanese city shows satellite images

From satellite images, the University’s humanitarian laboratory has identified more than 31 km (19 miles) “Berma” – as well -known banks – built from May on the territory outside the city, occupied by rapid support forces (RSF).

HRL traced the construction of earthen walls on the map of El Fasher (above):

• Yellow line: 6 km built between 3 and 19 August 2025.
• Blue line: 7 km built between May 5 and July 12, 2025.
• Red line: Currently, 9 km with construction, which takes place between 13-27 August 2025.
