On Wednesday, June 4, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a staff of 16 members of the Bangladesh National Cricket team for the next Sri Lankan Cricket National Testing Series.
Najmul Hossain Shanto’s fate has also been sealed with the announcement of the Testing Template for the first Team Bangladesh campaign in the Cycle of the World ICC 2025-2027 Testing Championship (WTC).

Shanto’s mandate as a pattern has been filled with some significant hits and important controversy. He had previously expressed his desire to leave as a captain and told the BCB that he had made the decision taking into account the mental tension and his own immersion.
Although he did not want to remain at the helm, it seems that a mutual agreement had been made between the Council and the Cricter, as Najmul Hossain Shanto has been preserved as a test captain of the Bangla Tigers.
He will continue to be a captain for another year, and Mehidy Hasan Hasan Miraz will provide him with support as he will also continue to be vice-chic.
“ Najmul Hossain Shanto has been preserved as Bangladesh Test Captain for another year, continuing in the leadership role he took in 2024. All-Rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz also continues as a vice-chic, while maintaining the leadership pairing that the team brought in the previous season, ” said BCB in a statement on Wednesday while announcing the test.
Speaking beyond the squad, the Batsman of Wicketkeper Star Litton Das has come up with the test team. Litton Das had been lost in the previous series due to an injury.
The quick bowls Ebadot Hossain and Nahid Rana have been remembered by the games against the Sri Lanka team with the previous one who returned after a long time, as it was last seen in action internationally in July 2023. The left weapon spinner Hasan Murad has also been added to the workforce.
Speaking of changes to Bangladesh’s Testing Template in his previous series against Zimbabwe, the left arm spinner Tanvir Islam, the Tanzim Hasan Sakib and the workshop Mahmudul Hasan Joy have been attended.
Meanwhile, the first test between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be hosted by Galle from June 17, and the second test will be held in Colombo from June 25. The Bangla Tigers will leave for Sri Lanka on June 13 to start their preparations.
