Authorities at the International Airport Philip Sw Goldson (Pgia) say the plane in Belize Thursday.
According to officials in Belis and the United States, the man stabbed two passengers and the pilot before one of the stabbed passengers shot him. The passenger received a license to carry firearms and later handed over his weapon to the police.
“We pray for him,” Chester Williams, Authorized police Belizetold reporters. “He is our hero.”

Williams have identified abductor As Akiniel Taylor and said he was a US military veteran, the Associated Press said. US officials could not confirm the statement of the Belize Police Commissioner that Taylor was a military veteran.
The Air Flight Cessna Caravan V3Hig from Corozal to San Pedro had 14 passengers and 2 crew members aboard, Pgia said.
The complete emergency was announced immediately after the incident began, and the planes were randomly two hours, until finally landing in PGIA, a statement by Belize said in a statement.

The US State Department’s press -secretary Bruce said at a briefing in Washington that officials were still collecting information about what happened.

“Terrible,” she said. “We are grateful, I believe that we all have not turned into a mass event with the victims, I believe that more than a dozen people are in the plane. Clearly, we know a few details. We don’t know much more.”
US officials said they did not know the motive for Taylor’s abduction, but worked with Beliga authorities to determine what happened.
