Every month seems to bring new sets of headphones with longer battery life and more compact designs. As such, we cannot list everything we like. But if you’re still hunting, here are some other tips.
Soundcore Space A40 for $60: While no longer on our main list, the Space A40s are still some of my favorite buds for the money, providing good features, clear sound and excellent noise cancellation for their price class. They are also polished, with only their lack of auto-pause sensors betraying their low price.
Sony Linkbuds Fit for $200: Sony’s Linkbuds Fit offer a rich and punchy sound, a naturalistic transparency mode, and a light and comfortable shape, helping it live up to its intention as a “used anywhere” solution. They provide some solid features, but save battery life with only 5.5 hours per charge and their noise cancellation is just right. Their reliance on flimsy silicone handles and strangely unresponsive touch controls also diminish their value, but they’re still Sony’s buds and worth snapping up for sale.
Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro for $100-200: The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are getting old, but they’re still among the best buds to pair with the Samsung phone. They don’t have the multi-device connectivity of our top pick for Android users, and their five-hour battery seems pretty short these days, but they deliver excellent sound quality, IPX7 waterproofing, and a distinctive design that he is not alone. monkey the AirPods Pro. Pixel Buds A Series for $99: These have been our first choice for most people, but are now overshadowed by other affordable options that also include things like noise cancellation. If you can find a pair on sale, they’re still worth snagging, especially if you have an Android phone.
Oneplus Nord Buds 3 Pro for $150: These comfortable and lightweight headphones have multi-point pairing, which makes them great for people who like to work with a laptop and a mobile phone at the same time (7/10, WIRED Recommends). We didn’t like its control layout and thought the noise canceling was just fine. Also, they are just another pair of AirPods clones, in design.
Soundpeats Air4 for $80: : Soundpeats’ Air4 (7/10, WIRED Recommends) may be obvious AirPods Pro knockoffs, but they are very good knockoffs for the money. You won’t get top-flight performance, especially Apple exclusives like Find My support or iCloud sharing, but you’ll get good sound and features, including decent noise cancellation, at a massive discount. While they are not a great choice, they are a great budget buy, especially on sale.
Montblanc MTB 03 for $395: : These headphones are priced out of reach for most buyers, but if you have the cash, you’ll be rewarded with a luxury experience worthy of the brand. Montblanc called on some heavy hitters from the audio industry to design and voice these buds. The result is a pair of small, comfortable and fairly flashy wireless headphones that sound really impressive.
Apple/Beats Powerbeats Pro for $180: : Apple’s rugged Powerbeats Pro (8/10, WIRED Recommends) provide a super-secure fit, sound much better than Apple’s standard AirPods or Beats pairs before them, and squeeze an impressive nine hours of life from a charge. They stay long in the tooth and give up the standard extras such as transparency mode and ANC, but it could still be worth considering for those after a seriously stable adaptation.
Raycon Everyday Earbuds for $80: : These YouTuber-beloved headphones are actually a decent pair on the cheap (7/10, WIRED Review). They’re small and lightweight, and come with an IPX6 rating, making them great for workouts.
Master & Dynamic MW08 Sport for $254: : The Sport are a great option that comes with active noise cancellation and an amazing design, but the high price keeps them out of reach for most people.
