President Donald Trump A high-tech moonshine can strike the size of Texas-and it goes from his own party.
Trap AI initiativeNamed “Stargate”, seeks to build 20 ultra -powerful data centers across the country. The project is backed up by such difficulties as Openai, Oracle, SoftBank and MGX, funded by the UAE, is a $ 500 billion rate in the future, and Texas is chosen zero Ground for the first 10 centers.
But a new Texas bill, a Senate 6 bill, can delay or disrupt this impetus.
The legislation adds a six -year regulatory examination, except for the existing 6-18 months, and also requires new payments and mandatory backup generators, doubling the time of approval and overestimation.

And although the legislation is placed as a guarantee against the next winter darkening of the Ure-Ura, Trump’s allies warn that this can torpedo the possibility of generation.
“This bill will be a serious obstacle to the president’s vision,” said Vens Gin, the President of Economic Consulting Jin and the former chief economist of the White House and budget management during Trump’s first term, in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital.
“These are wrong efforts that are rooted in fear: fear of energy deficiency, fear II, fear of the future.”
According to Gin, the hefty requirements of the bill, including the $ 100,000 connection fee and the so -called “switch”, which would allow the Texas electrical reliability council to reduce the power center, can fully put out these billions projects from Texas.
“These companies are not just using energy,” Jin said. “Many of them actually put the excess electricity back into the network. So, instead of damaging Texas, they help stabilize it.”
Stargate has already broken the land in Abilin, but the next 10 data centers are still in the air. If Texas becomes too expensive or complex, experts warn that the back half of the project can never happen – even if rival states, such as Wyoming and Tennessee businesses, without Texas infrastructure.
“Texas’s legislative body must work at the closing with President Trump to create the II infrastructure without throwing barriers,” Gin added. “The AI Revolution is here. If Texas breaks it up, it will fall.”
The sponsor of the bill, the governor of Lieutenant Texas Dan Patrick, insists that the legislation will not damage the Trump’s agenda. “The Senate 6 bill actually provides President Trump’s success,” Patrick said in a statement. “We are in close with the president to make America number one and dominate China in AI, data centers and cryptocurrency.”

Even with Trump’s approval for Patrick’s re -election, economists who sum up Trump say the state plays a dangerous game.
“We already see the signs of this,” Jin warned. “Microsoft is distracted by projects. Investors are nervous. Meanwhile, China is ahead.”
A Chinese startup called Deepseek created headlines to deploy advanced AI AI models, which caused fresh concern about America’s position in the AI ARMS world race.

“It’s not just about innovation,” Jin said. “This is national security. If we are six months after China, we will never catch up.”
Trump backed his AI Push with a tough policy, including 10% blanket tariff for all imports and a steep tariff for 125% on Chinese goods announced only last week. But these tariffs can also increase the price of components of key data centers: from steel to electrical transformers.
Despite the trips, Trump’s administration views Stargate as a 21st century American leadership in everything from education to healthcare.

“Texas should be leading”, said Gin. “We cannot allow fear of the unknown to restrain us.”
