Teddies Mellencamp reveals John Mellencamp’s plan for family mausoleum

Teddy mellencamp had to have hard conversations with her family as she battles cancer. That includes discussions with her father, singer John Mellencampfor her will.

According to Teddies, John, 73, had such an important question that he called her 11 times in a row.

“Finally, I answer, I’m like, ‘I’m in the bath. Let me live a little,’” Teddi, 43, remembered on Tuesday, April 8, from “Iheartradio“Two t in podPodcast, which she maintains with Tamra judge. “It’s going, I want to make sure you’re going to be in our Mausoleum Family Group.”

John seemed ready to provide for all of them in the family mausoleum in Indiana.

“It’s like, ‘Well, the top five and then we don’t have many areas around it, and then that’s where everyone is going to be buried,'” he continued.

“It’s going, ‘You’re doing your will right now, so you might also put it in there,” he added.

Ultimately, Teddi agreed, adding, “I have to work on my sister next week. The children will be right behind me.”

Morbid humor comes days after she celebrated a large milestone in her cancer treatment, where she received her last radiation treatment. On Thursday, April 3, the achievement celebrated by Sing the ceremonial hospital bells.

He posted a video of the moment through his Instagram story, where he read from a plaque under the bell and called three times before celebrating with friends off camera.

“Singing the bell can denote a big step of treatment – today was my last day of radiation,” he wrote for the video. “Another 5 rounds of immunotherapy to go. Love you all for the kind messages.”

Mellencamp first revealed that she was being treated for several brain tumors. He has had surgery and has been receiving radiation treatment since then. At the end of March, doctors found four other brains tumors.

“I fight for my life,” he told Weekly US only in Our latest cover story“But also for the life of my family and all the people I love.”

“This is definitely the hardest thing (I’ve faced in my life), but now it feels less hard,” he added. “When I was in the ICU, it was incredibly difficult because I had no memory. One day I realized that it was my daughter’s birthday, and I couldn’t be there for it; it was very sad. It’s still sad when I couldn’t be there for my kids the way I would normally be.”
