Real Madrid to Osasuna Match View
Real Madrid opened its League campaign against Osasuna on Tuesday night when Xabi Alonso’s time begins.
Real finished second last season, four points behind Barcelona, and Alonso is the new face of the mouth. Real will be without legendary Luka Modric for the first season since 2012, while Lucas Vazquez also left the club during the summer.
Alonso said: “We all approach excitement, enthusiasm and we are eager to start the season. It has been a short but intense two weeks, and we look forward to entering the Bernabeu. We want to start well. The first game is always important.
“We are moving forward. It’s difficult to measure. We certainly have a few more. But we have already introduced the main ideas and foundations in the Club World Cup, and we have worked hard in the last two weeks. The feeling is good.”
Osasuna ended up safely at last season’s table and manager Alessio Lisci waits for a hard question.
“It will be a tough game, but we are excited to take it -because we like to face the best teams. It’s always a good opportunity to play these games,” he said.
“It is clear that we prepare our preseason not only to face Real Madrid, but throughout the season. I think the team has a good appearance because of the advances we have made from day one.”

The real ones are without the England midfielder, Jude Bellingham, who recovers from the expected shoulder surgery, while the defender Antonio Rudiger has a suspension last season.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Hujsen and Alvaro Carreras could make his debut in defense, while the teenager Franco Mastantuono is expected.
Alonso said, “The first time I talked to him, his personality struck me. He was still only 17 years old and very confident in himself. I was not afraid to take the step to come to Real Madrid. You can see his maturity, his desire, his quality. He will integrate very quickly into the team.
“Tomorrow I could get minutes. He will bring quality, energy, he is committed defensively and he has a good boost. I have seen that he has this impulse and that Argentine competitive spirit. It’s good with the final past. It is at a very good level.”
It is expected that Osasuna will give a debut to Valentin Rosier, while Ruben Garcia and Iker Benito are doubts.
