Taylor Swift’s close relationship with his father Scott Swift through the years

Taylor Swift and her father, Scott Swifthad a very special bond together throughout her life.

Scott and Andrea Swift He tied the knot in February 1988 and welcomed Taylor in 1989 and his son Austin in 1992.

When Taylor wanted to pursue a career in music, Scott moved his financial advisory company to Nashville.

“My dad believed in me, even when I didn’t,” Taylor shared in an interview in 2009 from her father’s support. “He always knew I could do this. I’m sure everyone at Reading (Pennsylvania) remembered how much he mentioned me… I just love my dad for believing in his little girl.”

Scott has continued to exhibit to Taylor over the years, including distributing guitar sessions to fans in the Eras journey and show up to Kansas City Chiefs’ games with her to watch her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

While Scott enjoys exhibiting over Taylor, he has also had to deal with some health battles himself.

In Essay for Elle In 2019, Taylor discussed her mother’s cancer battle, noting that her father had previously been diagnosed with cancer. He did not share further details.

“Both of my parents have had cancer,” he wrote at the time.

Almost six years later, Weekly US reported that Scott had a Quintuple bypass surgery and recover from the health scare. Tmzwho first reported, he claimed that Taylor, Austin and Andrea were alongside Scott in the middle of the surgery, which came after a routine examination.

The family moved to Nashville to pursue a music career

Scott and Andrea moved from Pennsylvania from Nashville when Taylor was a child so she could pursue a career in music.

“She always sang music when she was 3, 5, 6, 7 years old,” said Scott in an interview with Udly in 2009. “Taylor is doing what she likes to do.”

She loves her father supporting her on a trip

Throughout the years, Scott has continued to support Taylor on tour, noting that he is a “social butterfly.”

“My dad is along the ride for this trip, hanging out and talking to every person he comes into contact with,” wrote Taylor in a Myspace Blog Post In 2009. “It’s a social butterfly, and loves to be on tour. Taylor has referred to the love she has towards her father in a few songs, including “Best Day” on her Ungodly album.

“I have an excellent father/his strength makes me stronger,” wrote Taylor in the song.

In addition to the “best day,” Taylor also included a reference to her father Talk now song “never grow up.”

He always tries to protect her
