Former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal On Monday (March 24) he suffered a massive heart attack during a Dhaka Premier League (DPL) game, while running the Mohammedan Sports Club against Cricket Shinepukur Club at Savar’s Bksp Ground. The incident took place shortly after the coin launch when Tamim began to suffer a serious pain in the thorax while he made the field.
After reporting inconvenience, medical staff attended the field. Initially, he was taken to KPJ specialized hospital and a nursing home for evaluation, where he was subjected to an ECG. Despite feeling bad, Tamim tried to return to the game, but he experienced more pain in his chest in the field. He then rushed to the hospital again, where doctors confirmed that he had suffered a heart attack and made an emergency angioplasty to eliminate a blockade in his coronary artery.
Current condition
From now on, Tamim is under the observation at the Fazilatunnese hospital, where he receives treatment. Medical professionals have indicated that their status has been stabilized after the procedure. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has expressed a deep concern about his health, with several members of the Board who visited him at the hospital. The meeting of the programmed for the day was also postponed due to this incident.
