Sydney Sweeney returned to social media after her American Eagle Denim Campaign Trigger wide backlash.
Going to his Instagram story on Friday, August 1, Sweeney, 27, shared a picture of a bouquet of pale pink roses. He also added a white heart sticker to his upload.
The Euphor star was named a new face In July, the Fall 2025 campaign started the brand with a goal to its denim heritage.

Sweeney also released a statement on working with AE.
“Their commitment to creating pieces that make you feel confident and comfortable in your own skin is something that echoes with me,” Sweeney said in a statement. “It’s uncommon to find a brand that grows with you, the way American Eagle gets for generations. They’ve been there with me literally through every version of myself.”
The campaign, entitled “Sydney Sweeney have Great Jeans,” included a visual film that many social media users condemned as a sexually apparent one and thought she had banned into the male gaze.
“The composition of my body is determined by my genes,” said Sweeney as a camera banned her body. “Hey, eyes up here.”
A voiceover publisher added, “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.”
Other critics, meanwhile, claim that the campaign Promoted Eugenics, which is a belief in disrepute with white dominance about the enhancement of human genetics.
“Gene is transferred from parents to offspring, often determining features like hair color, personality and even eye color. My jeans are blue,” Sweeney said in another advertising campaign, making a pun out of the words “jeans” and “genes.”
The actress has not publicly addressed the backlash to the publicly marketed campaign. Ae, for his part, release a statement for his intentions on Friday.
“Sydney Sweeney Have Great Jeans’ is done and was always about the jeans,” a shared message through Instagram Read. “His jeans. His story. We will continue to celebrate how everyone wears their jeans and is confident, their way. Great jeans look good on everyone.”
