Apparently a suspect has been arrested in the murder of Tiktok influencer Jesús Sarmientowho was shot and killed while streaming live after denying members of the Gang Venezuelan Tren de Aragua.

It is alleged that Sarmiento, 25, was killed by two gun men at his home in Baracay, Venezuela, on June 22 while in the middle of Tiktok’s live stream, according to several local news outlets. Before his death was trapped on camera, a woman could be heard screaming and rugging on a door. Sarmiento was also seen asking for Bolivarian national intelligence service for help.
After the shooting, Sarmiento could be heard saying, “They shot me, they shot me,” as blood appeared on the floor. It was reported that two armed men were found in the live stream.
The woman, later identified as Sarmiento’s mother, was wounded in the abdomen, back The countryand identified local outlets.
The incident came after Sarmiento “publicly denied the threats he received from members of Gedos (Organized Criminal Groups) and allegedly police officers,” said the Attorney General in an Instagramshire on June 23 confirming that an investigation into the influence’s death was underway.
In recent videos on his Tiktok account, where he had more than 77,000 followers, Sarmiento spoke about the leader of Tren De Aragua, Hector Rusthenford Guerrerowhich is one of the most popular criminals in Venezuela.
