Suryakumar Yadav leaves a great health update before the Asia Cup 2025

India captain Suryakumar Yadav has opened on his recovery of a sports hernia ahead of the Asia Cup 2025, which will begin on September 9 at the United Arab Emirates. Surya revealed that the injury was detected towards the end of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, where he played the Mumbai (MI) Indians.

“Right now I feel good. It’s gone from five to six weeks. A good process, good routines over the last six weeks and their fingers crossed. Feeling very well. The sports hernia injury) was diagnosed near the end of the IPL,” said Suryakumar.

“I felt it because I had a similar type of injury last year and so I learned. So few check lists were there. I tried these things and then realized that it was time to make a small magnetic resonance imaging,” he added.

Suryakumar Yadav stated that he planned his step -by -step recovery, adding that coaches and physotos did training for his body’s needs. The young man, 34, captain in India for the first time in a major tournament.

“When I did it (the explorations), (the injury) was very clear in this. I published it in IPL, I went to Germany. And it went very well as it went last year. And I knew how the recovery will be step by step. So I was ready for everything. So we took a week at a time. And we are here and I feel good,” said Suryakumar.

“I think the most important thing for me is when you come here to COE or when I was here on the NCA last year, they understood how my body reacts to certain situations. Thus, all the strength and coach and conditioning and the physios understood how their body works and, as a result, planned all training.”

“It was all the instant. As soon as I hit the gym and I came here, they would plan the sessions. And so we took a week at a time and slowly, but constantly, we are here,” he added.
