“Bringing Shubman Gill as a vice-chic, while some might think that he presses on Surya-is actually a movement that benefits the long-term Indian cricket. He also shows Surya’s maturity as a leader, gaining him from the cricketing community.
“I really think he is very aware of the situation. What happens right now should not put a pressure on him. We have all seen what kind of cricketter is at T20S. So I don’t think there are insecurities in his mind. If there is something, this development will only be reinforced as a leader.”
