India’s T20i captain Suryakumar Yadav recently made a shocking revelation about Stump Mic’s exes. The 34-year-old claimed to stay away from the microphone as he wants Rohit Sharma’s specialty to remain.
Suryakumar took over India’s T20i captaincy after Rohit Sharma’s retirement from the format in 2024. Along with Rohit, another senior batsman Virat Kohli also retired after India’s run in the Cup T20 World Cup 2024.
While Suryakumar captains India in T20IS, Rohit Sharma continues to lead the team in Tests and ODIs. Rohit will lead India in the upcoming champions trophy in which Suryakumar could not find a place.

While speaking on Star Sports, Suryakumar Yadav insisted on staying away from the microphone as he wants it to be Rohit Sharma’s specialty. He also referred to Rohit’s famous dialogue related to the ‘garden’ in the conversation.
“Try Karta Hon Door Rahoon Stumps.” Suryakumar said.
The iconic ‘garden’ dialogue has become a Rohit Sharma trademark. The dialogue went viral during India’s five-match Test series against England in early 2024, when Rohit scolded his campers for being too relaxed during a Test match.
Suryakumar Yadav further mentioned that players get to hear this dialogue a lot when they actually head inside a garden. He also claims not to stop his players as none of his players do such things on the pitch.
“Haan Woh Jab Hum Ghumte Rehte Hai Garden Mein, Woh Sunne Ko Mil Hi Jata Hai (yes, when we walk in the garden, we get to hear these things),” said Suryakumar.
“Nahi, mai nahi rokta hu kisi ko kyuki koi ghumta hi nahi hai (I don’t stop anyone for anyone to go around),” he replied to be
Suryakumar Yadav has a fantastic record as India’s captain in T20IS. The 34-year-old has led India to victory in 14 out of 18 T20IS with a magnificent win percentage of 77.77. He is currently fourth in the list of most successful T20I captains for India after Rohit Sharma, Ms Dhoni and Virat Kohli.
Suryakumar was dismissed for a duck in the first T20i of the ongoing series against England and will look to make a comeback between the runs in the second match. The right-back is a crucial part of India’s T20i set-up with some excellent numbers.
He has scored 2570 runs in 79 T20IS so far at an average of 40.15 and a strike rate of 167.53. He has hit 4 hundreds and 21 years in his T20i career. Currently, he is not part of India’s ODI set-up, which is why he was not considered for the Champions Trophy.
