Suryakumar Yadav Appropytes History-Maker Ayush Mhatre, Ruturaj Gaikwad calls him “Grassonet” after heroic

The Mumbai Indians (MI) Vice-Captain Suryakumar Yadav were seen to appreciate Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Batsman (CSK), Ayush Mhatre, after his heroics at the IPL 2025 on Sunday, April 20.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Ruturaj Gaikwad, who has been ruled out of the IPL 2025, also shared an Instagram story to praise Ayush Mhatre for his good battle program in the 38th Premier League game of Indian 2025 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Ayush Mhatre becomes the youngest player in CSK story

Speaking to the release before the start of the MI vs CSK Clash, the pattern of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Mrs. Dhoni revealed that Ayush Mhatre has introduced in the XI of play for the high voltage game as a replacement of Rahul Tripathi. Said:

“We have to play a bold cricket, but at the same time the Batters have to realize what their strengths are, the same with the bowls, this is what we have been explaining to the departments.

“The field is an area where we have not taken good catches and we have to improve, reaching the other two departments; we need collaborations while beating or turning. We have a change: Ayush comes to Tripathi.”

MHATRE SLAMS 32 Run 15 balls in IPL debut

Mhatre, who was called by a trial in Chennai in the middle of the season, was acquired by the Franchise by INR 30 Lakh after Ruturaj Gaikwad was injured.
