“Surded astronauts” and Sunny were going to start traveling home

After epic nine months in space, NASA BUTCH Wilmore and Suni Williams are finally preparing to return home.

Their stay at the International Space Station (ISS) was supposed to last only eight days, but their mission was sharply expanded after the spacecraft that they came to the affected technical problems.

The couple goes back to the land in the SpaceX capsule, along with NASA NASA, NASA Higi and Russian Cosmonaut Alexander Gorbunov.

It is expected that they will be disconnected on Tuesday at 0505 GMT (0105 EDT) and then splash off the Florida coast later that day at 2157 GMT (1757 EDT).

The SpaceX Dragon capsule will make a quick and fiery repetition through the Earth’s atmosphere, a solid temperature up to 1600C.

Butch and Sunny’s saga began in June 2024.

The arrival of the replacement crew on Sunday became the last step necessary for the return of the bot and the Sunny – and after a short hand with the new team, their mission is now over.

NASA’s couple has taken her longer stay in space.

But NASA officials said their decisions were based on flights planning and the needs of the space station.

Harrett Reyssman, a former NASA astronaut and former Spacex space operations director, said there were good reasons why NASA did not choose a special rescue mission.

“It wasn’t going to reduce the amount of time that the batch and the Sunny spent in space a lot – I mean, you would have cut a couple of months, so the benefits were not so great,” he said BBC News.

“And the price was high – these crew missions cost hundreds of millions of dollars … I think the butch and the Sunny would be the first to say” no, it’s not worth it. “

Once the astronauts arrive home, they will be delivered to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, where they are checked by medical experts.

“I had an email from Suni only the other day she talked about the missing seats on the porch in her home in Maine with dogs and sniffed fresh air, feeling the sun on her face,” he said the BBC.

“These are the main things about life here, on earth, you miss.”
