The legendary Cricleter Sunil Gavaskar praised Kl Rahul for his tranquility and maturity during the first test of five games series Against England. However, Gavaskar said that the batter has not yet realized “what a player is” and added that he still has to fulfill his potential due to “self-dube doubt”.

Sunil Gavaskar said that Kl Rahul has not been fully in his potential. He said that Rahul has a wide range of shots, especially his impeccable coverage behaviors. Gavaskar expressed his hope that Rahul would obtain 500 to 700 runs, which he believes would be a great boost for India.
“He has so much talented. Look at all the shots from offside, the leg, the coup, everything. All the traits, but he has not lived until this. Now this could be a bit of a doubt in himself or anything that sometimes keeps Bangalore boys to fulfill his potential,” Gavaskar continued.

Rahul breaks half a century in the second Leeds test of India
