Speaking ahead of the game in Espncricinfo, former Cricter Wahab Riaz said that the young Pakistan team would have a point to show against India. Said:
“Look, it is good from the perspective of Pakistan, it will obviously be a very pressure game for both teams, especially for Pakistan. But I think the type of combination of Pakistan has right now, they have many young people and they really want to show a point they are, you know, they are good and that’s why they are doing it on the team.
“So, for me, I think it is a good opportunity for all of them. And it will also be because of the new faces, India will use them for the first time or they will go to India for the first time. So I think it will be an exciting context, to be very honest.”
Pakistan had also urged Pealer Haris Rauf against India, but the team led by Salman Agha denied his suggestions and used Spin-Pap approach.
