An excellent Sudanese human rights group has accused the country’s army and forces of torturing people to death and operating “execution camera”.
A group of emergencies’ lawyers said it had recorded hundreds of arrests in the capital of Khartum. It states that in “worst cases” some captives were found dead with torture evidence.
In March, the Sudanese army repelled the city from the rapid support forces (RSF), against which it was fighting a bitter civil war that killed tens of thousands in two years.
The army did not respond to BBC’s request on Sunday’s comment.
Throughout the war, a group of emergency lawyers recorded atrocities and the RSF.
A statement on the Social Media Platform X claims that she had “dangerous escalation of violations”.
Some detainees were arrested accidentally and taken to large detention center, the group said.
“Their fates vary from constant detention in inhumane conditions, tests conducted by the security authorities, which lack the most basic standards of justice, or release in poor health,” the statement reads.
“In the worst cases, some are found dead after being killed or announced dead as a result of torture.”
The use of torture was distributed during repressive administration by President Omar al-Bashir.
It was found that throughout the war RSF also abused and executed prisoners.
In March, Sudan was not an independent international mission to search for Sudan’s facts that both parties were responsible for “a broad picture of arbitrary detention, torture and brutal treatment of the detainees.”
It states that both RSF and the army used “rape and other forms of sexual violence, arbitrary arrest and detention, as well as torture and cruel treatment.”
The fighting caused one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world – 12 million were forced from their homes, and the famine was declared in some parts of the country.
Last week, doctors of the medical charity without borders (MSF) stated that the war caused the worst cholera outbreak that the country saw over the years.
Almost 100,000 cases and 2470 deaths have occurred over the last year.
