Horror is not a genre that you usually associate with music, although some stunning musicals are available, including old classics like The Rocky Horror Picture Show and newer features like Anna and the Apocalypse. The only problem with horror musicals, however, is that they tend to focus more on biting a Broadway style than bringing the bloodshed. If you are like me and have been looking for the perfect A combination of melodies and terror, you’re in luck: Repo! The genetic opera Now free streaming on tubi.
Based on the musical of the same name, Repo! The genetic opera Set in a bleak future where most humanity has been eliminated due to wide organ failure. The Geneco Ruthinary Company will transplant organs to those with cash, who have managed to save lives while also creating a culture of hedonistic body adaptations. But when someone misses a payment, these organs can be repossessed, and when Geneco’s founder is diagnosed with a fatal diagnosis, he puts it on a collision course with his Repo Man that will change everything.
A cast of Repo! The genetic opera Small but full of familiar faces, including unexpected appearances by Paris Hilton and even Cameo by Joan Jett. Our main female character is played by Spy children Veteran Alexa Vegas, and horror icon Bill Moseley playing one of the Geneco failures found memorable. Meanwhile, the title repo is played by Buffy The Vampire Slayer The legend of Anthony Stewart Head, and the CEO who dies played by Paul Sorbino, hasn’t been so stunningly perfect since Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo+juliet.
In spite of this full cast, Repo! The genetic opera Box office bomb thanks to a large extent to its very limited theatrical relief. Against a budget of $ 8.5 million, the film won only $ 188,126 (no, that’s not a type). Fortunately, the film found a new life on DVD and Blu-ray, and since then has raised an intense cult following it has been compared to it. The Rocky Horror Picture ShowAnother strange horror musical that has only become more popular over time.
Certainly critics did not know what to do Repo! The genetic opera: on Rotten tomatoesThe film has only a 37 percent score. The judges generally praised the film depressed for its style, but ridiculed him for being horrific and insignificant in his narrative. Notably, though, the film has a 73 percent audience score through the popcornmeter, which means so much more that it echoed with general audiences than with critics (which, historically, is very hard on horror films) .
Now it’s time to answer the question you’ve been screaming on your screen Probably: Why y Hec Yes I recommend you watch Repo! The genetic operaA movie that couldn’t even win $ 200,000 at the box office and is generally damaged by the judges? For one thing, the music is amazingly catchy. That may not sound much, but given how much words “things you see in a graveyard” live in my head rentlessly, I can’t help but recommend this movie to other horrific people eager for a new bag of ear. candy.
In addition, while Repo! The genetic opera She has some terrible performances (Paris Hilton deserves a Golden Raspberry Award for the worst support actress), she also has some great unforgettable. Paul Sorvino manages to give great line readings and sing stunning tunes when chewing every bit of scenes he can find, and in fact I have never seen this talented actor more fascinating. In terms of Anthony Stewart Head, it amazingly rewarding as a Buffy A fan sees him abandoning his condition librarian to play against type as some kind of Hitman with a heart of gold.
Finally, as a horror supporter, I must recommend Repo! The genetic opera for trying something different. This is a genre full of tired tropes and shop dress ideas … like, how many times are I supposed to care for young people being hunted in the trees or murderer sharks intimidating a small town? Repo! Takes large swings that do not always connect, but it has the difference of being completely unique … the kind of Splatterfest Splatterfest horror horror we may not see another director trying to create it.
Repo! The Opera Nation A review score
Will you find Repo! The genetic opera As attractive as I, or will you want the repo guy to come and take your eyes after you watch? You won’t know until you stream it for free on a tubi. After realizing you will never see something so strange again, however, you may be left with a vacuum inside you that even Geneco could not fill it properly.
