Stevenson on Inoue’s Range P4P: Too “No Name”

Shakur Stevenson says he does not have Naoya Inoue on his list of 3 pounds free for pounds because he has fought against “No Name” since his good victory against Stephen ‘Cool Boy Steph’ Fulton in 2023.

Stevenson makes an excellent point. Inoue (30-0, 27 kos) should not be instead of the first 3 based on the unlocked opposition with which it has been its record. Even naoya on the list would go on board. The top 10 should be for fighters who risk their career.

Inoue has been slow to fight against Murodjon Akhmadaliev and with Nakano. Both are in their weight class and around them, but he has not been chosen to fight them. What does this tell you? Naoya should have fought for a long time to these guys instead of the half -way opposition to party.

I have to disagree with Shakur on putting Terence Crawford in the number 1 pound per pound. No one has anyone good enough not even on the list of first 15 places. He certainly lost his last fight against Israil Madrimov.
