Ms woman One of the most inspiring and successful captains in the history of the Indian cricket is maintained. Under his quiet leadership, India achieved all ICC’s important trophies: the T20 World Cup in 2007, the World Cup of Hate in 2011, and the Champions Trophy in 2013. His inflatable behavior, Cricket’s sharp brain and finished skills made him a legend not only in India, but throughout the world of cricketing.
Since Dhoni’s retirement, the question of who could be his true successor has persisted. For Shot kohli and Rohit Sharma Both directed India with distinction and had their own unique impact, fans have often found it difficult to place anyone on the same pedestal as “Captain Cool”. Now, with Kohli and Rohit away from the test cricket, the baton has passed to a younger generation. And according to the former Captain of Australia Steve WaughIndian cricket could have found the next Dhoni.
In a recent conversation with YearsWaugh praised an Indian young Shubman gill And he suggested that he see in him the same leadership qualities that Dhoni previously defined.
“Gill also has Dhoni’s flare. Gill is quiet and cool. I see the same capacity for Gill that Dhoni had. Indian captaincy is in the hands. Shubman Gill is a bright player, especially under pressure. He thinks clearly and his teammates respect a lot.” said Waugh.
Wawh’s praise comes at a time when Gill is prepared by larger leadership features, as he has already captured his IPL side and recently designated as Team India Test Captain before the long -awaited England tour. According to Aussie Great, Gill’s temperament and maturity at such a young age make him a decent candidate for the Indian Cricket.
Waugh, although he praised Gill’s leadership potential, also urged patience and support for fans and experts. In his opinion, Gill is undoubtedly a great option to lead India, but emphasized that the young man takes time to become the role. Waugh acknowledged the immense burden of capturing a nation like India, where expectations of more than a billion fans can become overwhelming. He believed that Gill has the right mentality and skills to prosper under pressure, but his development as captain would require space and time. According to Waugh, allowing Gill evolved at his own pace is crucial for his long -term success.
“It is a great option, but it is important to give it time to adapt to the role. It is a huge responsibility … Representing from 1.4 to 1.5 billion people comes with a lot of pressure, and it is young, so he will have a good opportunity to show him as a captain.” added Waugh.
Waugh made comparisons between Gill and Dhoni, highlighting their similar and compound calm behaviors. He said that, like Dhoni, Gill has the ability to bring stability and clarity to the team. However, he emphasized that it is important not to overflow the young Cricleter with constant comparisons and expectations. Waugh advised the public and the media to refrain from examining Gill too soon on his leadership journey, saying that unnecessary pressure can make it difficult to grow.
“Ms. Dhoni’s behavior has been similar, so Gill will be good for the team, but he has to play his role well. Being the Indian captain, there is a lot of pressure on him, and he is very young, so I would like people to talk too much about him right now, people should leave him alone for a while.” Waugh added more.
