Back in 2013, Minaj hit the gesture in his “High School” music video. At the time, she balanced on one foot in tall stiletto heels by a pond.

Fans of social media revived in the summer of 2025, encouraging even more celebrities to take part in the fun. Take Carson, who won in the challenge by somehow balancing on his round Dancing with the stars Mirrorball LED LED Trophy on August 1. She gave the camera a boot while testing how consistently it was in her block heels.

Minaj herself proved that she was still found in his heels on August 9. She stood on a wooden table and made the situation look easy.
