Noro Aunor, one of the most famous Filippin movie stars, died at the age of 71.
Ms Aunor’s death on Wednesday was announced on social media, but there was no more detail about her death.
“She touched upon generations with her unmatched talent, sophistication and passion for the craft. Her voice, presence and artistry formed a legacy that never disappears,” her daughter and actor Lotlot de Leon said at Instagram.
Ms Iriga, who was born in a poor family in Iriga, has created a career in television, music and film for seven decades. In 2022, it was named the National Cinema and Arts Artist – the highest honor of the Philippines for art.
