Sri Lanka’s former domestic cricketter, Saliya Saman, has received a five -year ban from all forms of cricket. The Anti -Corruption Court of Cricket International Council (ICC) was found guilty of multiple violations of the Cricket Criclement Code of the Emirates by 2021 Abu dhabi T10 League.
Saman was among eight individuals accused in September 2023 to violate the anti -corruption code during the Abu Dhabi T10 league. They all associated with the Pune devils Franchise. The devils ended for the last time with a single victory in six games, and this was their last appearance in the tournament.
Saliya Saman by Sri Lanka banned for five years to try to manipulate parties
Saliya Saman was found guilty by an independent anticorruption court of the ICC to try to manipulate parties during the Abu Dhabi T10 2020-21 league. The CPI, which acted as an appointed anti -corruption officer of the event, had prevented these efforts.

“Sri Lanka’s former domestic cricketter, Saliya Saman, has been banned throughout the cricket for five years after an anti -corruption court of the CPI found it guilty of breaching the Emirates Clicket anti -corruption code (ECB),” the ICC statement read.
Sri Lanka Saman was banned for five years after the presentation of written and oral tests, with the prohibition to retreat on September 13, 2023, the date of its temporary suspension. It has been two years since the penalty.
The 39 -year -old cricket has played 101 first -class games, 77 and 47 T20. It has scored 3,662 first class cricket runs, 898 rolls on list A and 673 runs to T20S. Sri Lanka All-Rounder has also taken 350 doctors in all formats.
Saliya Saman was accused of multiple non-compliance with anti-corruption code
Sri Lanka Saliya Saman was involved in the attempts to manipulate the games (article 2.1.1), offered rewards to other players to participate in corrupt behaviors (article 2.1.3) and encouraged other people directly to violate the code (article 2.1.4).
Article 2.1.1 – Part of an attempt to solve, count or influence parties inappropriately or aspects of the parties at the Abu Dhabi T10 2021.
Article 2.1.3 – Offer a reward to another participant in exchange for the player to participate in corrupt behaviors under the code.
Article 2.1.4 – Applicant, inaugurating, attractive, inducing, inducing, persuading, encouraging or intentionally facilitating any participant to violate the code of article 2.1.
Nasir Hossain returned to Cricket after fulfilling a two -year ban
