SpaceX loses Starship during test flight

SpaceX lost contact with its Starship spacecraft as it headed into space during its seventh test flight on Thursday.

According to SpaceX, the Starship experienced a “rapid unplanned takedown during ascent” after liftoff from Boca Chico, Texas.

Despite the failure, SpaceX managed to successfully catch the booster rocket on the launch tower on its return.
