South -Korea Forest fires kill at least two firefighters

At least two people were killed and hundreds evacuated their homes when the fires were raging on Saturday.

Two firefighters were found dead in the Sanchen district in the southeast of the country, Yonhap news agency reports, citing local officials.

According to Korea, Korea’s Korea, two others, were reportedly missing, as several fires were burning across the country.

The state of the national disaster was announced at 6:00 pm local time (9:00 GMT), covering the city of Ulsan and North and South Gongsang in the southeast.

More than 200 residents were ordered to leave their homes in eight villages from the death fire in Sanchen district in South Gongsang.

Acting President Choi Sang-Mak, he called on every effort to put out the ignition, but strong winds hindered the efforts at the scene of about 250 kilometers (155 miles) in southeast Seoul.

Elsewhere, more than 400 inhabitants were moved from the Forest Fires in the Uysson District in the North Gongsang province.

The Forest Service made a serious warning about the fires in 12 places, including the Busan and the Central city of Gajon.
